Max Factor was the go-to person for all things makeup during the years Jack Pierce was making up his famous monsters. Pierce frequently consulted Mr. Factor for advice on makeup formulas that would work best on screen. The resulting ghostly pallor of Dracula and the Frankenstein monsters are just two examples.
